The wastewater produced as a result of the raw materials, chemicals, water, electricity and other energy sources used in our processes are properly treated by wastewater treatment plants and are compatible to current laws and regulations. The waste gases are filtered and cleaned before they are emitted, and other solid wastes are also properly treated and disposed by licensed contractors. We have committed ourselves in reducing the wastes and pollution produced and the amount of energy used. Social Responsibility
TST is fully aware of the significance of “Environmental Protection and Environmental Awareness” as the main challenge and goal faced by all corporations in their management in the 21st century. As TST pursues further growth, we have not forgotten our corporate social responsibilities. We will continue to seek the improvement of production technology, product quality and to introduce and promote technologies to achieve the objectives of energy conservation, waste reduction and pollution prevention to demonstrate TST’s determination in environmental protection. We have also established environmental protection systems such as (ISO14001:2004). TST has already published various reports in this area periodically to disclose relevant information on our efforts in fulfilling our corporate social responsibility.
The main scope of TST action:
Respect Employees life – It is the responsibility of every supervisor and all TST employees to ensure the safety and hygiene of facilities and personnel within the scope of their duties. This applies to TST’s subcontractors, suppliers, contracted employees, outsourced employees and so forth to accomplish the objectives of “Zero Hazard, Zero Accident. ”
1. Safety disciplines – “It is my responsibility to ensure safety”. All TST employees shall abide by all related environmental protection, safe and health regulations and standards. All supervisors are to set an example for others to follow and fulfill their responsibility to supervise their subordinates.
2. Work Area Risk management – To identify risks and control risks according to their ratings through hazard distinction and risk assessment while consolidating autonomous management of safety.
3. Environment Pollution Prevention – To achieve the goals of waste reduction, energy conservation, resource recycling/reuse, Improve manufacturing process, cost reduction, and mitigation of impacts on ecology environments through source management and to establish an environment management system (ISO 14001:2004).
4. Green purchase – To establish a green purchase system and initiate supply chain management. Green materials would be given priorities to encourage suppliers to reduce wastage of resources and pollution.
5. Constantly review and audit the EHS management system – To prevail trainings in environmental protection and occupational safety and hygiene so as to reinforce TST employees’ awareness in these areas. Measures shall be taken to ensure full compliance with TST’s systems and stipulations in environment, safety and health to achieve systematic management and continual improvement in order to create an ideal working environment.
6. The corporation shall have a policy to reasonably assure and promises that the Material(s) or Product(s) provide to customer should not contain the conflict minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit any armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (“DRC”)and its adjoining countries defined in Section 1502 of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Act, and will comply with other international conflict minerals laws and regulations. The corporation shall also promise to submit the conflict minerals report (CMRT or any international format required by customer) before the requested date.
This commitment defines TST's goals and direction in fulfilling our CSR. TST integrates this commitment into our organization and training on an everyday basis to expand employees scope and depth of our CSR activities, as well as to establish a partnership and good communication channels with our supplier.
